“This Victory is also a holiday of Turkiye” – Dr. Ahmad Shahidov commented on 8th November Day to Akit Television

Today is Victory Day in Azerbaijan – the third anniversary of the historical victory of the Azerbaijani Army in Karabakh is celebrated.

In response to Armenia’s continuous provocations and expanding military aggression, on September 27, 2020, in order to liberate its territories from occupation, bring Armenia to peace, fulfill the requirements of the UN Security Council resolutions, return internally displaced persons to their homes, as well as to restore the justice, the Azerbaijani Army started the Great Patriotic War in September 2020. All Azerbaijani people united and mobilized in this holy war.

Today, the people of Azerbaijan celebrate the Great Victory. Today, the Azerbaijani flag flies in Shusha, Khankendi and other cities and villages of Karabakh. This victory also showed the strength of Azerbaijan-Turkiye brotherhood to the whole world.

Speaking to Akit Television, political analyst Dr. Ahmad Shahidov said that the historical victory in Karabakh is also celebrated as a holiday in Turkiye and drew attention to the role of the Republic of Turkiye in the Great Victory achieved in the 44-day Second Karabakh War.
