Important issues for Azerbaijan and Turkiye are discussed at the PACE Summer Session – Dr. Ahmad Shahidov told Ulusal Kanal

On June 19, the Summer Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe began in Strasbourg, France. Topics important for Azerbaijan and Turkiye will also be discussed in the discussions that will last until June 23.

At the initiative of the Armenian side, the issue of “Ensuring free and safe access through the Lachin Corridor” was brought up for discussion. Although the Azerbaijani delegation urged that the discussion of this topic will have a negative impact on the ongoing peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the topic has been put on the agenda and will be discussed by PACE members on June 22.

Among the discussed issues is the topic of the elections held in Turkiye.

Human rights defender Dr. Ahmad Shahidov, who participated in the Summer Session of PACE, gave an interview to Ulusal Kanal Television and commented on the issues discussed in PACE.
