The 31st anniversary of Azerbaijan-Turkiye diplomatic relations and the regional agenda were discussed on Akit TV

Today, 31 years have passed since the restoration of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Turkiye. Diplomatic relations between the two brotherly countries were established on January 14, 1992, a few months after Ankara officially recognized Azerbaijan’s independence on November 9, 1991.

In August of the same year, Azerbaijan opened an embassy in Turkiye. In January 1993, the Consulate General of Azerbaijan was established in Istanbul, and in April 2004, in Kars. At the same time, the Embassy of Turkiye in Baku, the Consulates General in Nakhchivan and Ganja are operating.

On this occasion, political analyst Dr. Ahmad Shahidov, who spoke on Akit Television, said that the relations between the two countries continue successfully today and are moving towards common goals.

Speaking about the latest situation in the region, Dr. Ahmad Shahidov also commented on the opening of the Zangezur Corridor, the tension between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and mutual accusations in Armenia-Russia relations.
