On March 31 – April 1, the 25th “Alliance Conference Against Trafficking in Persons” was held in Vienna, organized by the OSCE. Under the theme “Protecting Childhoods, Shaping Futures: A Call to End Child Trafficking,” the international event focused on protecting children’s rights in conflict zones, combating child trafficking, and strengthening international cooperation.
Human rights defender Ahmad Shahidov, who participated in the event, shared Azerbaijan’s experience in this field in an interview with ARB24. He spoke about the measures taken by Azerbaijan to protect children’s rights, projects carried out in collaboration with international organizations, and efforts to strengthen the legal framework.
During the conference, experts and officials discussed new strategies against child trafficking, the importance of international cooperation, and effective ways to combat this issue. International organizations emphasized the necessity of joint efforts to address this problem on a global scale.
