“The Swiss peace summit serves to prolong the war in Ukraine” – Dr. Ahmad Shahidov spoke to ARB24 channel

Today, the Global Peace Summit with the participation of 92 countries and 8 international organizations will begin its work in Switzerland. Issues such as food and nuclear safety, as well as the return of Ukrainian children were put on the agenda of the discussions. During the meeting, the parties are expected to form a common position on negotiations with Russia. It should be noted that a little while ago, Russia and China refused to participate in the work of the two-day summit.

Talking to ARB24 Television on the subject, political analyst Dr. Ahmad Shahidov said that the peace summit held in Switzerland actually serves to prolong the war in Ukraine for many more years. Because the non-participation of Russia and China in this summit shows that there is more of a war agenda than peace. The fact that Western countries, especially the United States, agreed on financial assistance to Ukraine within the framework of the summit shows once again that the war in Ukraine will continue for many years.
