The OSCE PA Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs at a meeting in Baku on July 1 adopted a resolution “Democratic control of public and private sectors of security,” a draft of which was submitted by the Slovenian deputy Roberto Battelli.
One of the points of the resolution is a recommendation to establish an exchange of best practices between the parliaments in the democratic oversight of the security and intelligence services.
