In the framework of his working visit to Europe, Ahmad Shahidov, Head of the Azerbaijani Institute for Democracy and Human Rights (AIDHR) visited the Office of the Chancellor of Justice in Estonia that headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia and held a meeting with Nele Parrest, Deputy Chancellor on May 18.
Warmly welcoming AIDHR delegation, Deputy Chancellor gave detailed information related to the activities pursued by Office of the Chancellor of Justice that has a 60 of history. She also touched on the state of human rights in Estonia. Aftermath, the sides made exchange of views on fundamental freedoms and rights, basic human rights, in particular children’s rights.
For his part, Ahmad Shahidov, head of AIDHR underscored situation of human rights in Azerbaijan and activities conducted by the organization over the past year. He further elaborated on his upcoming meetings to be held in the frame of his visit to Europe. Mr. Shahidov also talked about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Azerbaijani hostages. Making use of the opportunity Head of AIDHR presented a book on Azerbaijani hostages to his counterpart. The meeting was followed by discussions on bilateral collaborations to be realized in the future.
