An opposition activist Faraj Karimli who missed on July 23 can be tortured, reads the report of the human rights organization Amnesty International.
The organization notes that supposedly he was detained by police and subjected to ill-treatment. His whereabouts are still unknown, but a few days ago was arrested his brother – Siraj, the report says.
Yesterday the court arrested Faraj Karimli for 3 months on charges of trafficking and possession of drugs on a large amount.
Before his arrest Faraj Karimli on his Facebook page criticized the authorities for not investigating the fact of transportation of three tons of heroin through Azerbaijan.
