The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan has published the data on financial performance advertising companies for 2013. In the past year AZN 57 million was spent on advertising, which is 22% more than in 2012.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the main part (34 mln) of the revenue for 2013 accounted for planning, creating and placing advertising – (21.3%). From the sale and rental of advertising space and time they helped 16.6 million (36.3%). Distribution and delivery of advertising materials revenues totaled 4.7 million (7%).
Fuel advertising companies totaled 55.355 million manat. The growth rate keeps up the pace of revenue growth. Advertising companies had profit of 3.681 million manat, which by 544,000 manat exceeded the figure for 2012.
In 2013, the companies concluded 2,339 contracts on promotion, totaling 66 million manat. Compared to the previous year, the rate of the contracts rose by 9.7%.
Several years ago, most ads were placed on television. In recent years, most of the advertising market “is eaten” by the Internet. Specific weight of the print media in the advertising “pie” is not big and drops every year. Intensified transport advertising. The amount of outdoor advertising also reduced.
