On December 1, members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran unanimously adopted the draft “Strategic Action for the Abolition of Sanctions and Protection of the Rights of the Iranian People”, which was approved by the Constitutional Review Board and submitted to the President for implementation.
Speaking to Sahar TV of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ahmad Shahidov, head of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights, said that withdrawal from the Nuclear Agreement is another manifestation of double standards against Tehran: “Iran has been complying with this agreement for many years and is fulfilling its obligations. The United States withdrew from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty with Iran and began imposing tough sanctions on the country. After that, the implementation of the document of international importance faced problems, and the biased policies of other members of the agreement made it fragile. In the course of this process, the European parties to the Nuclear Agreement did not fulfill their obligations.”
