In an interview to Iran’s Sahar Television, Ahmad Shahidov, head of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights, condemned the killing of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, head of the Iranian Defense Ministry’s Research and Innovation Organization, and expressed confidence that the killers would be found soon: “Azerbaijan is also a country suffering from terrorism, and we strongly condemn the assassination of a prominent nuclear scientist in the neighboring Islamic Republic of Iran and strongly condemn all forms and manifestations of terrorism. We offer our deepest condolences to the people and state of Iran.”
