“1960 Turkish soldiers will be deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh” – Ahmad Shahidov told the Ulusal Channel

The implementation of the peace agreement signed between Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan has begun. Russia’s 1960 peacekeeping force has already been deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh, and armenians are being evacuated from Kalbajar, Agdam and Lachin under the control of the Russian army.

Turkey, which is closely involved in resolving the conflict, is also expected to deploy 1,960 troops in the region. There is already an official agreement between Turkey and Russia. Extensive discussions are underway on the location of the Turkish army in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Dr. Ahmad Shahidov, head of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights, was guest on Turkey’s Ulusal Channel Television and answered Seda Anik’s questions on the “Main News” program.
