Asabali Mustafayev, a lawyer of youth activist, Orkhan Eyubzadek requested to transfer his client from prison to house arrest. According to Mustafayev, keeping Eyubzade in jail, is not only unreasonable, but also dangerous to his health. According to the lawyer, Eyubzade has periodically convulsions of losing consciousness. He has been suffering such problems since childhood, but they intensified in jail where he is not provided medical assistance.

Eyubzade is accused of resisting police by force. The lawyer believes the accusation is absurd, because it was the police that used force against the activist during his arrest at the end of last year.

Lawyer seeks viewing records with surveillance cameras in the Binagady pre-trial jail where alleged incident occurred, as well as the questioning the witnesses, who like Eyubzade were subjected to inhuman treatment.

Eyubzade was arrested on May 6 for 20 days for taking part in a protest against the sentence of eight activists movement NİDA. However, after the expiration the term of his arrest, he was not released. He was taken to the Binagady Court that arrested him for one month on charges under Article 315.1 of the Criminal Code (use of violence against a government representative.) Article is punishable by imprisonment up to three years.
