“The international community should not remain silent about the terrorist attacks of Armenia” – Ahmad Shahidov talked to TRT Arabia

On October 17, 13 people were killed and 48 were wounded as a result of heavy artillery shelling of Ganja by the Armenian armed forces.

Among the dead were 6 men, 4 women and 3 minors. Among the 48 wounded, 23 were men, 20 women and 5 minors. Two children are missing.

In an interview with TRT Arabia, the head of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights, human rights defender Ahmad Shahidov, said that in recent weeks, the Armenian armed forces, which have been carrying out a series of attacks to regain lost territories, are resorting to various provocations. The human rights defender said that the main goal of the Armenian side is to create fear, anxiety and panic among the Azerbaijani population.

On the other hand, the Armenian government, which received military equipment and weapons from various countries in the name of humanitarian aid during the ceasefire, is preparing new provocations on the front. Ahmad Shahidov said it is important for the world community and international organizations to react to this issue immediately, and said that Armenia has grossly violated the requirements of the Geneva Convention.
