Ahmad Shahidov spoke about the Republic Day on “Ulusal Kanal” TV of Turkey

On May 28, coordinator of the Information Center for Azerbaijani Captives and Hostages Dr. Ahmad Shahidov, who is on a working visit in Turkey, was the guest of the program “Gunaydin Turkiye” on Turkish Television of “Ulusal Kanal”. Ahmad Shahidov answered questions of well-known TV presenter Can Karadut and gave detailed information about the 101st anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and spoke about the successes and losses of Azerbaijan over the past period.

Talking about the problems facing modern Azerbaijan, the human rights defender spoke about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and its humanitarian consequences. He gave detailed information on refugees and internally displaced persons, as well as Azerbaijani captives and hostages.

Speaking about the final match of the UEFA Champions League in Baku on May 29, Ahmad Shahidov underlined the disgusting campaign of the forces that jeopardized the growing international prestige of Azerbaijan and their recent attacks against Azerbaijan. He said that some international organisations before the Arsenal-Chelsea match in Baku carried out an outreach campaign against Baku, but all these attempts were broken. Human rights defender noted that Azerbaijan is a developed and safe country, and will continue to host international sports and art events.
