“Armenian authorities are responsible for the murder of Mayor Agil Omarov ” – Ahmad Shahidov

The units of the armed forces of Armenia, grossly violating the ceasefire regime on the front line, once again carried out a provocation.

At a time when the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group pay a visit to our republic, on May 30 in the morning, a serviceman of the Azerbaijan Army Omarov Agil Akif was killed by a sniper shot by the enemy in the direction of the Aghdam district.

Agil Omarov was laid to rest after the firing in the Lalapasa village of Gakh region.

Originally from the town of Gakh, well-known human rights defender Ahmad Shahidov visited Gakh district on June 1 and took part in the funeral of martyr mayor Agil Omarov. Ahmad Shahidov met with the relatives of the martyr and asked for God’s mercy.

Then Ahmad Shahidov visited the grave of martyr Agil Omarov and said that the Armenian authorities are responsible for this murder and the response of the Azerbaijani army will be adequate.
