Ahmad Shahidov conveyed his concern to Lamberto Zannier over the closing down OSCE office in Baku
Panel discussions of the 10th annual GLOBSEC 2015 Bratislava Global Security Forum is underway. The forum that was attended by high ranked European officials puts a special emphasise on heated discussions on regional security and stability.
Joining the panel on “European Neighborhood Strategies” OSCE Secretary General touched upon priorities of the organisation and answered questions from the floor. Taking the opportunity head of AIDHR Ahmad Shahidov held a meeting with Lamberto Zannier, OSCE Secretary General and exchange of views on human rights situation in Azerbaijan were made between the sides.
By conveying his concerns towards the closing down OSCE Baku office, Mr. Shahidov hailed OSCE’s projects on ensuring human rights and democracy in Azerbaijan and voiced his hope over the continuation of bilateral relations. For his part OSCE Secretary General expressed his sadness over the recent development and underscored that OSCE would further support securing human rights in Azerbaijan.
