Believers in Azerbaijan celebrate today the end of the month of Ramadan, Fasting. All mosques in the country are crowded today, and the faithful read public prayers.

Completion of Ramadan is celebrated with a prayer and almsgiving to the poor, the size of which this year should correspond to 5 manat per person.

Azerbaijan and Iran, unlike other Islamic states celebrate the end of Ramadan a day later. Local theologians explain this difference in timing of the appearance of the moon in the night sky, which marks the beginning of a new month.
